Crescentine was unexpectedly delicious and light, went really well with the generous portion of culatello. Al Ragu tagliatelle is one of the better ones, made with fresh pasta, though I personally prefer the non fresh pasta version but I think it’s just personal preference. Warm service and charming deco and quiet idyllic location.

Recommended by the Director of the Ducati Museum, a Bologna local - born in Bologna, Ballarini did not disappoint. Located on a lovely local road lined with sycamores, the restaurant is low key old school family friendly. I have a soft spot for authentic Italian comfort food, so I was quite happy here. The duck ravioli was superb, as was the carpaccio to start. Classic veal with a mushroom sauce was like la nonna's home cooking. Sangiovese house wine was perfect. Go to the Ducati or Pagani factories and take a taxi here afterwards for a perfect day. Bus stop back to Bologna or train almost right in front.

The place do not need to much words.... had the best "tagliatta" the last 20 years...... and I am sure the "Tagliatelle con ragù alla bolognese" is the best in town. Great place! Do not eat in the city, visit this place, you will enjoy it....!
